Policy Changes
Dear friends,
The Secular Student Alliance at Morehead State University would like to inform you we are integrating some new policy changes regarding our religious allies. These changes are to focus on promoting tolerance of the religious community and to even welcome those who are both religious and secular into our group. This, of course, is something we have been considering for some time. We seek to empower students to proudly express their identity, build a welcoming community, and promote humanistic ideals.
By welcoming secular religious individuals, it is sure to expand our base and allow us to find more building blocks for a productive, humanitarian organization. For SSA, this means a chance at a new beginning.
So, it is with much consideration that we openly welcome those of all religious backgrounds in order to promote a truly inclusive and tolerant culture. One that we can be proud of as we turn the page in our organization’s history and continue to move forward. Nevertheless, our outlook will continue to include the promotion of secular values, and social justice. We will also remain a safe place for those who are struggling to find acceptance elsewhere. We simply wish to uphold a positive environment for our secular friends, and allies in the religious community.
